At Southern Raised Learning, our Board of Directors is a dedicated team of professionals who bring deep expertise in education, business, therapy, and community leadership. United by a steadfast commitment to our mission, they help ensure our school remains a nurturing, academically strong, and inclusive environment for students with academic, social, and emotional learning needs. Their guidance and governance support our goal of offering individualized instruction in a small-class, high-support setting where every child can grow, learn, and thrive.

  • Kathryn Cargile

    Kathryn Cargile

    Secretary

    Kathryn Cargile is a certified occupational therapist. She graduated from Medical College of Georgia with a Masters in Health Science for occupational therapy and has been licensed in the state of Georgia since 2008. She had a dream of owning her own private pediatric therapy clinic since college. Her vision has been to create opportunities for children to see their strengths and meet their greatest potential in a loving and caring environment. In 2020, she opened Flourish Integrative Therapy and has begun to see this dream come to life.

    Kathryn and her husband have been married for 19 years and have three young children. They live in Fayette County and love the friendships and opportunities this beautiful community offers. She looks forward to serving Southern Raised Learning on the board of directors.

  • Dr. Megan Gable

    Dr. Megan Gable

    Board Member

    Dr. Gable is a pediatric neuropsychologist. She graduated with her undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Toledo in Ohio in 2005 and with her doctorate in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois in 2013. She completed her internship at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She then completed a two-year, APPCN approved, pediatric neuropsychology fellowship through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) and the Emory University School of Medicine. Currently, she is the owner of The Pediatric NeuroBehavioral Center of Peachtree City and conducts neuropsychological evaluations for children and young adults. Throughout her training, Dr. Gable has primarily worked with children, adolescents, and young adults ranging in age from 8 months to 29 years of age who present with a broad range of medical, developmental, learning, social/emotional, and behavior concerns.

  • Herb Lauw

    Herb Lauw

    Board Member

    Herb Lauw was born and raised in Singapore, where he served in the Singapore Army Armoured Infantry Division. In 1985, he moved to Hawaii and earned a BS in Audiology from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Herb relocated to Atlanta in 1998, beginning his career as a pilot with Atlantic Southeast Airlines before joining Delta Air Lines in 2007, where he also serves as a Simulator Instructor Pilot. He married Jennifer Lauw in 2000, and they have three children: Luke, Isla, and Sidney. Herb resides in Newnan and enjoys pickleball and ocean life with his family.

  • Ginger Sack

    Ginger Sack

    Board Member

    Ginger earned a Master of Science in applied behavior analysis from Northeastern University, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Previously, she earned a BA in business management and German from Gettysburg College.

    After working in the corporate world for 15 years, Ginger decided to switch careers and began working with children. She spent the next 10 years working with children with special needs in the Fayette County School System and in a private school in the area.

    After her last child went to college, Ginger decided to follow her dream and pursue a career where she could focus on developing and implementing programs that could affect the behavior of those with special needs in a positive and beneficial way. Ginger has worked as a Behavior Analyst in several clinics in Fayette County. She has lived in Fayette County for almost 25 years with her husband and three children.

  • April Yarbrough

    April Yarbrough

    Board Member

    Passionate and driven are just a few terms colleagues use to describe April Yarbrough. As a successful serial entrepreneur, April has created and expanded multiple small businesses at both local and national levels over the past decade. April’s heart for early interventional learning combined with her P&L management and unceasing push for excellence make her an ideal board member for Southern Raised Learning. Along with structuring and overseeing her small businesses, she enjoys pouring into her community through her role as Sharpsburg Georgia’s Downtown Development Authority Chairperson.

    Residents of Coweta County for over 10 years, April and her husband, Joshua, are proud parents of two sons - Oliver and Henry. April enjoys gardening, bee keeping, and desserts - but most of all making new friends and sharing the delights of a better community.
